What would bring software developers satisfaction if there were no big challenges to take or significant goals to achieve? Imagine such coders who will take pleasure in performing only trivial and irrelevant tasks - ridiculous, right? As we all know, software developers are like superheroes with coding superpowers eager to challenge themselves with doing great things that can save the world - or at least make it a better place. But what about minor issues that are not so "epic"? Well, superheroes also take care of trivial missions like saving cats stuck in a tree, but does it make them great? In reference to all their significant achievements they may sound bleak, but still they matter a lot.
First of July was an important day for the team, as we were celebrating the development of our new company identity with two new Synergy Trainees on board. For two months we were working on introducing our new brand: Synergy Codes, followed by launching our new website. I was honoured to coordinate that breakthrough process from the phase of generating ideas to bringing them to life. Therefore, it was time to summarize the results of the change and everyone’s contribution to it. During the presentation, followed by Q&A session, everything was explained and no question was left unanswered.
Is there a better way to start the long May weekend than by team-building activities? Thursday the 30th of April could have been yet another day of work at the office, but instead it was a day full of surprises. Although everyone had known the date of integration, we didn’t know what to expect thanks to Kasia’s discrecy. That, of course, led us to some speculations of what to expect. With such a hype around our integration, we gathered at Chemiczna Street at 9 a.m. eager to know what would happen next.
As the fruitful year 2014 was coming to an end, the time was ripe for summing-up the progress of company development and spending some time together in a family-like atmosphere. Wigilia party proved to be perfect for that, as it made us gather together at the table full of traditional dishes.
Once upon a time (in a galaxy far far away ;) ) Synergians went on a two-day integration trip. For some of us, including the author, it was the first integration trip at Synergia Pro ever. To start the story off, everything was a great mystery and nobody knew what to expect. We were only told to take along some sportswear and be prepared for lots of entertainment.
